Obituary

Roger Leo Wolfe, 71, from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, passed away March 28, 2016. He was born July 26, 1944, in Memphis, Tennessee but spent his youth in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he spent many years doing things unacceptable for print. Eventually, in an attempt to curb his indomitable spirit, his parents sent him to military school after which he went on to serve in the USAF where he began a lifelong career in computers. After his military service, Roger spent many years in the computer, private, and insurance fields, but the career he was most proud of was the foundation and operation of the Tulsa Morning Fax, which enabled him to share his love of humor and wit with everyone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Polly Wolfe, and his brother Gary. He is survived by his wife Peggy; his daughters Heather Richard of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and Shawna Wolfe of Bartlett, Tennessee; his son, Todd Wolfe, of Kent, Washington; his sister Lisa Goodwin and her husband Bill of Hot Spring Village, Arkansas; and six grandchildren. Private services were held this week. Visitation will be Friday, April 01, from 11:30 - 1:30 at the Broken Arrow Historical Museum, 400 S. Main Street. Memorials may be sent to Rose Rock Healthcare Foundation, 2642 E. 21st, Tulsa, Oklahoma 74114.
