On March 27, 1931 in Jackson, Arkansas a baby boy was born to Merle and Henrietta Mitchell. They named him Roland Louis Mitchell. Roland attended school in Jackson Arkansas and spent most of his life as a cross country truck driver. He used to refer to this as 'Being out on the big road'. He retired in Tulsa Oklahoma and he enjoyed each day in his retirement apartment surrounded by many friends. He was well known by his nickname FBI. Roland accepted the Lord as his personal savior and he Went home to be with the Savior on January 27, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents Merle and Henrietta Mitchell. Three sisters Thelma Montgomery, Georgetta Mitchell and Dorothy Mitchell. Three brothers Houston Dukes, Roosevelt Mitchell and Merle Mitchell Jr. He leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Cothesia Mitchell of Suitland Maryland. A grandson Daimen Duckett of Suitland Maryland. Two brothers Morris Mitchell of North Little Rock Arkansas and Horace Mitchell, and with his wife Antionette Mitchell of Jacksonville Arkansas, a host of nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and really close friends.
