Ronald Xavier Hiriams, 60, returned to his heavenly home June 11, 2016 after a valiant battle with a long illness. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in struggle and ultimately gave his peace. He was born to the late Lucious and Erma Hiriams on August 3, 1955 in Cairo, Illinois. He was immersed in the Christian community at an early age. He was a Navy Veteran and served honorably from 1973-1975. He was blessed with a large and loving family, though he never had children of his own he was a father to all of his nieces and nephews. Ronnie had a reputation for being straight forward and to the point. He had a very low tolerance for silly foolishness and would tell you where to get off. Ronnie was a cook at heart and always had time to answer a question to solve a problem, no matter how small. He is dearly missed by his loved ones who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
