Ronald 'Ron' Lee Woodward, 63, was peacefully promoted to his heavenly home on 04 July 2018, at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ron was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on 06 Nov. 1954 to Woodrow Woodward and Jean (Richardson) Woodward. He graduated from Webster High School and was a lifetime Westsider. He worked for Superior Machine, Inc. in Sapulpa, as a Tool, Die and Mold Maker. Ron was known for his humbleness, humor and quick-wit. He was a member at Life Park Christian Fellowship and enjoyed serving in the background for various church events. He was an accomplished Traditional Archer and obtained numerous awards showing his proficiency. He was the Oklahoma 1986 Broadhead State Champion. He spent many a weekend attending shoots all over Oklahoma with his fellow archers. He also loved woodworking, watching baseball, fishing, fly fishing and bow fishing. Ron was the beloved husband to Cheryl 'Cheri' (Wood) for 10 years. He is survived by his son's family, Ryan L. Woodward and wife Nikki and their son Wyatt Anthony, all of Fort Worth, Texas. He also leaves behind two stepchildren: Rebecca Maegerlein and Danny Eastin. He also leaves behind his loyal dog his Baby Girl 'Ziva Dogvid'. He was preceded in death by his Father, Woodrow Woodward, Mother Jean (Richardson) Woodward, Sister Linda Sue (Woodward) Patterson and a foster sister Mary Alice (Wright). He battled bravely against his cancer diagnosis and was an inspiration to many along his journey. The family wishes to thank the Oklahoma Cancer Institute Staff, Oklahoma Surgical Hospital Staff, St John's Hospital Staff and St. John's Hospice Staff for their compassionate and tender care of him during his journey. The family also wishes to thank the Life Park Christian Fellowship family, friends, co-workers and neighbors for all of their love and support. According to Ron's wishes, a potluck type meal will be held on Sunday, 05 August 2018 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Life Park Christian Fellowship, 5900 S. Union Ave., Tulsa, OK 74107-9034, (918) 794-8039. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the following organizations.
