Ruth Howell Rising, 93, passed away on May 23rd. 2018, in Sperry, OK. Ruth was born in 1924 in Gasport, New York to Harry and Cory Fothergill. Ruth attended Gasport High School, graduating in 1942. Ruth married Harold Rising in 1946 and together they raised three children; Michael, 68, of Conyers, GA; Camille (Fuller), 66, of Sperry, OK; and Mark, 58, of Johnstown, New York. Ruth loved to play card games with friends and family, was an avid gardener, and was famous to all who knew her for her wonderful cooking skills, especially her delicious desserts. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loving family members.
