Obituary

Schuyler (Sky) Sharp, 84, of Tulsa died on Monday, October 31, 2016. Born to Gertrude (Hargrave) and Henry Sharp in New York City, he spent his younger years between Leonia, NJ, and Columbia County, NY. After some time in college and the Army, he began working at American Airlines where he met Betty, his wife of 54 years. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Schofield) Sharp, his son Jeffery and Nichole (Morgan) Sharp; son Schuyler and Jill (Cicle) Sharp; and daughter Kristin (Sharp) Meister and husband, Mark; and three grand-children, Elizabeth (Lamb) Archer and her husband, Daniel, Gunter and Cole Sharp. His is also survived by a sister, Katherine (Sharp) Borgen, and her husband, Bjorn of Denver, a cousin, David Hargrave and numerous nieces and nephews. He retired after 34 years at American to travel, and also to enjoy stay-at-home activities, the Tulsa Garden Railroad Club, The Quiet Birdman, and the Tulsa Air and Space Museum. A man of many interests, he was a flight, ski and swim instructor, and rode Free Wheel six times. A talented musician, he loved classical and ragtime music, and constructed a garden railroad in his back yard. He loved planes, trains and all things run by steam, and life We will celebrate his life on Saturday, December 10, at 2:00 PM, at Unity Church of Christianity, 3355 S. Jamestown in Tulsa.
