With deep sadness the family of Stephen Matthew Godfrey (Steve) acknowledges the tremendous loss of a beloved son, brother, father, uncle, and friend. He was born March 12, 1969 in Ft. Meade, Maryland and passed away Saturday, March 28, 2020 in Tulsa, OK at the age of 51. Steve Godfrey was charismatic, had the best sense of humor, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan. He began a career in 1995 at TruGreen where he eventually became branch manager. He met his 2nd wife Wendy Godfrey in 1992, and they married in August of 1996. They had one child, Stephen Matthew Godfrey II (Matt). Steve thoroughly enjoyed being with his family; he was a loving father, devoted uncle, and there are no words to express what an amazing brother he was. He cherished his friendships too. He will be missed everyday by family and friends. Steve is survived by his only son, Matt Godfrey; his mother, Barbara L. Even; his father, Damon L. Godfrey; his brother, Mark D. Godfrey; his sister, Barbara M. Wishart; his niece, Whitney M. Wishart; 8 aunts and 9 uncles; numerous cousins; 4 nieces and 3 nephews; and several great nieces and great nephews.
