Steven Dale Connor , 50, of Tulsa, Oklahoma died on Monday, December 24, 2012. Steve was born on May 9, 1962 in Vinita, Oklahoma to Geraldine and the late W. Dale Connor. Steve graduated from Tahlequah High School in 1980. He attended Oklahoma State University then Calvary Chapel Bible School. Steve was a U.S. Navy SEAL from 1987-1997. He was in SEAL Team FOUR where he was a veteran of Operation Just Cause, Panama. He then was assigned to Naval Special Warfare Center as an Advanced Training Instructor for close quarters combat. Steve received the following military awards: Expert Pistol, Expert Rifle, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense SVC Medal, SEA SVC Deployment Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Navy Achievement Medal and the Meritorius Unit Comm. On July 23, 1994 he married Susan Belote Connor in Virginia Beach, Virginia. They welcomed their daughter Morgan in December of 1996. After he left the Navy, Steve worked with Dr. Pat Robertson at The Christian Broadcast Network. In 1999, Steve, Susan and their daughter Morgan moved to Tulsa, where he worked for Sanders Nursery. In 2000, their son, John was born. Steve was currently employed at Summit Financial Group as an Account Executive. Steve loved God, his family, his country and his friends. He had an infectious grin, never met a stranger and touched everyones life in some way. Survivors include his wife Susan, daughter Morgan, son John and dogs Macy and Cocoa of the home; his mother, Geraldine Connor and two sisters, Melissa Connor and Jerri Lynn Walker of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; his niece Aubree Connor of Midwest City, Oklahoma; his nephew Lewis Dale Walker of Tahlequah; his grandmother Questa E. Alred of Vinita, Oklahoma; his mother-in-law and father-in-law Mary and Herb Epstein of Virginia Beach, Virginia; father-in-law Jim Belote of Morganton, North Carolina; brother-in-law Jerry Belote and his wife Christie and their sons, Jack and Max; brother-in-law Jimmy Belote and his wife Lee and their children, Justin, Garrett and Ally and sister-in-law Carolyn Belote all who reside in Virginia; nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
