IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Suzanne
Brown Brickner
April 17, 1941 – February 5, 2025
Suzanne Brown Brickner, 83, passed away on the morning of February 5, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.
Our mother was a devoted parent, grandparent, and friend. If she loved you, she would fight for you—if not, watch out! She was a hardline Democrat, loved Rummikub, a fierce competitor on the tennis court, an avid reader, and adored anything with four legs.
Her greatest joy was helping others. She was generous to a fault and always the first call when someone was in dire straits.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Theodore James Brickner (2009) and Harold Alan Preisendefer (KIA 1965), as well as many much-loved pets.
She is survived by her daughters, Robyn Brickner (Robert Walters), Tracy Schloss (Bill), and Shannon Pierce (Tom); her wonderful grandchildren, Will and Jamie Schloss and Charlotte and John Pierce; as well as her beloved dog, Rosie.
Our mother spent the last two years of her life in the home of her caregiver, Zyemine "ZZ" Zimin, and her family—Evelyn, Russell, and Yuriy. The care she received was beyond compare. While unconventional, this living arrangement brought immense joy to both families, and we are forever indebted to them for the love, kindness, laughter and joy they provided.
We are also deeply grateful for the exceptional care given by Miller Hospice, most especially Gina, Sarah, and Elizabeth.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Miller Hospice, 918.499.8787 or a charity of your choice.
