Suzanne Ramsey was born on August 8, 1924, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Silas Gilmore Ramsey and Mabel Sessen Ramsey. She had an older sister, Rosemary, and an older brother, Gil. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1946, with a B.A. in Art. She married William Claude Milks, Jr., in 1947. They had 4 children: William Claude Milks III, Robert Ramsey Milks, Margaret Harrison Milks, and Melanie Gilmore Milks. She was an oil painter and pastel artist, an avid gardener, and took great pleasure in creating a beautiful home environment. Suzanne passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, January 31st, 2015. She is survived by William Milks, Robert Milks, Margaret Milks Wheeler, and 3 grandchildren: Elizabeth Milks, Melissa Milks, and Natalee Wheeler.
