Teddy H. McCarty, age 94, of Tulsa, OK, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Montereau Retirement Community. Teddy was preceded in death by her dearest husband Charlie in 1998. Teddy and Charlie were married in 1951 in Oklahoma City and lived there until 1970 when they moved to Muskogee, OK and subsequently Norman and Tulsa, OK. Teddy was a long-time member of Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church and was the leader of a troupe of senior line dancers who entertained at retirement centers all across Tulsa and the surrounding areas. To her family, Teddy was a gentle, beautiful, stable force, a consummate and loving mother, and an inspiration to us. Always strong in the face of difficulty, she was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. Teddy is survived by her daughter Mindy Whittiker and Jack Whittiker, her son Steve McCarty, and her son Cary McCarty and Amy McCarty, grandchildren Cassie Whittiker, Michelle Webster and her beautiful great granddaughter Halle, and Cory McCarty and Stacey McCarty. A memorial service will be held at 1:30pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 in the Chapel at Montereau Retirement Community, 6800 S. Granite Avenue, Tulsa, OK.
