Tommy Curtis passed away at his home in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma on may 13, 2017. He was born September 14, 1930 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Glen and Maude Curtis. Tommy was a father of 3 and an avid fisherman, being with family at the lake would be the best way to describe Tommy Curtis. Tommy grew up in and worked in Tulsa for most of his life. He worked 53 years as a mechanic, an insurance agent and retired as a machinist from Crosby-McKissick in 1997. After his retirement, Tommy and his wife Ina moved to Strang, Oklahoma in Hudson Harbor Park on Lake Hudson, where they lived for 18 years. Tommy fished everyday, sometimes 3 times a day, because he was good at it and fishing is what he enjoyed doing the most. On his birthday in 2011, Tommy was diagnosed with Alzheimers Disease, a devastating form of dementia that slowly took him away from the family that loved him so much. He is preceded in death by his father and mother: Glen and Maude Curtis; sister: Kathleen Brown; grandson: Cole R.L. Taylor, and many aunts uncles. Tommy is survived by his wife of 66 years: Ina Curtis; daughters: Derryle and Rusty Wood, Dana and Russ Hogan, Tommie Jean and Glenn Goodale. 12 grandchildren: Jody Cullison, Jamie Woodall, Brian Anderson, Colby Coulson, Travis Harrison, Ashley Holland, Jamie Goodale, Mandi Martin,Trevor Taylor, Nick Goodale, Jennifer Buckner and Dalton Taylor. 13 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. In lieu of flowers the family askes that donations be made to Alzheimers Association in Tommys name.
