IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Tracy Le
Renne
October 2, 1967 – November 6, 2024
TRACY LE RENNE
October 2, 1967 – November 6, 2024
On October 2, 1967, Tracy was born in Tulsa at St. Francis Hospital. Three minutes later, her identical twin sister Stacy joined her. They always had a very special bond and spent their earlier years secretly trading places when it was to their advantage. They were so identical that their Aunt Jerry wanted to just change both their names to Stracy! They wore their hospital bracelets for a long time so people would not get them mixed up!!
Tracy spent her younger years trying different things; sports, music, and excelled at Softball. She found her passion for being in the water after joining Coach Turner's Aquatic Club and swam competitively for them. Tracy graduated from Jenks in 1985. Her senior year one of her graduation presents was SCUBA diving lessons at ORU and a trip to the Cayman Islands to get her Open Water Diving Certificate. She excelled at diving during her certification which changed her life forever.
Tracy attended Southeastern University in Durant but knew that was not where she wanted to be. She worked in St. Croix as a Dive Instructor before opening a Dive Shop in Key West, Florida, and becoming a Master SCUBA Diver Instructor. In February 2000 she was in a tragic accident on her Moped and was life flighted to Ryder Trauma Center in Miami, FL. She was in a coma but stabilized and transferred to Jackson Memorial in Miami where she remained for 16 weeks. She recovered and was able to take care of herself but because of some of her injuries was declared permanently disabled. She was never able to dive again and struggled with illness and complications from her accident until her death. She had a kind heart and was generous and always helping any person or animal that was in need.
Tracy is survived by her mother, Vickie Johnson Renne, Tulsa; father Keith Pearce, Asotin, WA; twin sister Stacy Renne and niece Linsey, Jenks; brother Todd Taylor (Lisa) great niece Zhelilah and great nephew Elijah, Hephzibah, GA; Aunt Jerry Culver, Tulsa; nephews Josiah and Atlee Taylor, Summerville, SC; aunt Sondra Hardcastle (Charlie), Missouri City, TX; close friends David Pickle, Westville, OK; and Jeff Stephens, Chapin, SC; and was loved by many other relatives, friends, dive instructors and students.
If you would like to remember Tracy, the family requests a donation be made in her memory to Animal Welfare Center, PO Box 338, Sand Springs, OK, 74063.
Tracy, you are missed and loved by those whose lives you have touched. May you now rest in peace.
