IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ursula
Geiger
December 21, 1940 – June 12, 2024
Ursula G. Geiger of Bristow, OK, passed away in Tulsa at Clarehouse Hospice House on June 12, 2024. She was 83 years old.
Ursula was born in Ludwigshafen en Rhein, Germany to Hermann Enid and Irmgard Josephine Geiger (aka Taylor). She immigrated to the United States on March 25, 1961, and proudly became a US citizenship on July 29, 1976.
She is survived by her son Michael Mackey (Liz) of Bristow, OK, daughter Michele Ard (Mike) of Westminster, CO; her grandchildren Zac Mackey (Shannan), Grayson Geiger (Mia Barbieri), Mackenzie Padilla (Nick Pena), her great-grandchildren Avelyn Mackey, Emilia Mackey, Zeke Medina, Coraline Pena, Dior Pena and Scarlett Pena, and sisters Helga Campbell and Juanita Perez. Through her daughter's marriage other children include Alexandra Vaughan (Josh), Kyle Ard (Jenna) and grandchildren Aria Vaughan, Fallon Vaughan, Mason Ard and Rowan Ard.
Ursula was preceded in death by Philipina Bormeth (grandmother 1984), Hermann Geiger (1944), Irmgard Taylor (2015), Peter Geiger (brother 2023), and Andrea Mackey (granddaughter 2016).
Ursula was an amazing woman, a terrific mom, and a loving grandmother affectionately referred to as "Gram." She was a hard worker, a true giver of her time and a devout Catholic. She was also lovingly referred to as a "firecracker", a protector of those she felt needed it. She was always available to help others, whether it be giving a neighbor a ride to get groceries or help at her church as a devout sacristan.
Ursula brought joy and laughter to those who knew her and will surely live on forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
Funeral mass is on Friday, June 21, 2024, at St Joseph's Catholic Church, 302 N. Elm Street, Bristow, OK 74010 celebrated by her priest Father John Grant. Final internment will be at Glen Abbey, Bonita, CA alongside her grandmother, mother, and brother.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Clarehouse, 7617 S. Mingo Rd., Tulsa, OK 74133. This volunteer-based organization provides peace and comfort to many patients near the end of their earthly journey, as well as their families.
