MY WAY Virginia Cagle Chrisco peacefully died at home April 26, 2015. Born of Gracie May and Ivan Cagle, 3/23/29, her 4 brothers protected their "Dolly" as they grew up in Muskogee, Oklahoma. A hard-working single mother, Virginia raised 3 children, Walter Thomas Finley, Susan Finley Driesel and Kim Patrick Finley employed as a secretary in the banking and manufacturing industries. Kim preceded her in death. Once the children were grown, Virginia married the love of her life, Noble Brice Chrisco. Together they traveled the world with Noble's career in the oil industry. Their assignments took them to Libya, Iran, Brazil, Venezuela, Ireland, Scotland, South Korea, Singapore, China and many other foreign countries. Family and friends enjoyed Virginia's recounting of their travels. Passionate about politics, Virginia volunteered in numerous Republican Party leadership roles including work at the national and local area. She was the United States Presidential Elector, 2008 First Congressional District. Virginia held posts with the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women, the Oklahoma Republican Party and the Tulsa Republican Club. Additionally, Virginia volunteered as a Victim's Advocate, CASA volunteer, and performed in the Koman Breast Cancer Foundation 'Sing for the Cure'. Organization was Virginia's trademark. She did her research online, created a list and devised a plan. Whether it was a establishing a new home in Hong Kong, assisting in a political campaign event, developing her neighborhood homeowner's association or orchestrating the move into her new home with daughter Susan and son-in-law Bill Driesel Virginia was in charge! Virginia's pride in her grandchildren was evidenced by her stories of their achievements and antics. 'Granny' was influential and admired by her grandson, Christopher Grant Driesel, his wife Karrie, their children Crew and Cecilia, granddaughter Miranda Driesel Moore, her husband Matthew, and the newest great-grandchild, Hudson Noble Moore. Virginia was an exceptionally devoted caregiver to her loved ones at the end of their lives. She supported the care of her 4 brothers who preceded her in death, 2 cousins, Polly and Leon, and two years ago, Noble, her cherished husband. Virginia cited the words to 'My Way' as a good description of her life. Her spunk, determination, and "get it done" attitude will be fondly remembered. In lieu of flowers, please honor Virginias memory with donations to Saint Francis Hospice, 6600 S Yale, Ste 350, Tulsa. The outstanding hospice staff graced Noble, Cousin Leon, and Virginia with personalized, loving care. A Memorial Mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1520 S. Rockford, Tulsa, Friday, May 1st at 4 pm.
