Virginia A Price (Pug), age 98, of Grove, OK, passed away September 23, 2024.

Visitation with the family will be held October 5, 2024, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Liberty Community Church Community Center, 4th and Main, Liberty, KS.

Virginia (Pug) Price was born July 15, 1926 to Pete W and Mildred Bowers in Columbus, KS.

Pug attended school in Columbus, KS, graduating high school in 1944. She attended Mercy School of Nursing in Independence, KS. Pug worked as a registered nurse for over 50 years many at Mercy Hospital in Independence. She was a dedicated professional, often times nursing family and friends at their home.

It was while at Mercy she met a young man from Liberty, KS, William (Bill) Price. They were married February 4, 1949, afterwards making their home in Liberty, KS for almost 60 years. After Bills death in 2008, she moved to Grove, OK.

Pug enjoyed the love and spoiling of her children and grandchildren, love of her dogs, she enjoyed video games, reading and traveling. She was an avid reader, enjoying fiction from her public library till the time of her death.

Pug was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, her parents, Pete and Mildred Bowers, and brothers, Pete Bowers, Jo and Ed Bowers.

Survivors include daughter, Rose Vining (Vic), Grove, OK, son, Mike Price (JoAnn), Liberty, KS, daughter, Marsha Tackkett (Frank), Grove, OK, grandchildren, David Kiser, Afton, OK, Suseanne Conger (Jason), Sachse, TX, Michael Tackkett, Coffeyville, KS, Carrie Strimple (Jeff), Coffeyville, KS, sister, Mary Yost, Pittsburs, KS, eight great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
