IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Wade
Vinson
September 16, 1948 – April 4, 2024
Damon "Wade" Vinson, 75, of Tulsa, Oklahoma passed away peacefully at home on April 4, 2024.
Wade was born on September 16, 1948 in Conway, Arkansas to his parents Jarrell and Audrey (Hegi) Vinson.
He was the hardworking business owner of "Wade's Construction". He was a multi-talented Jack of Trades, and no job was too big. He was particularly known for his exceptional and meticulous concrete work. He was a passionate lover of all animals and cared for many strays and wildlife in his lifetime, right up until his passing. He and his late wife, Rhonda, were particularly passionate about animals and family loved to gather at their home to watch the various birds and wildlife from their porch. His family was the most important thing to him, but he did race Street Stock cars and competed in Demolition Derby in the 1970's.
Wade was preceded in death by the love of his life, Rhonda, who just recently passed away in November 2023. They were married for 55 wonderful years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Jarrell and Audrey Vinson, previously of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
He is survived by his lovely sister, Donna Barnes of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sons, Timothy and wife Gina of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Donnie Vinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Tom Vinson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brittany Evans, Kimberly Vinson, Sami Walker, Cade Welch Vinson and Kenny Vinson; seven great-grandchildren; and special niece Amy Sharp of Dickinson, Texas.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite Animal Rescue or Wildlife Shelter.
