Walter James Sharette, 56, of Helena, Montana, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma after a courageous battle with cancer. Walter was born in Helena on December 28, 1957 to Ralph and Josephine Sharette. He attended Helena High School and went on to do a variety of vocations including construction, mining, and logging. Walter loved being outdoors and riding his beloved Harley all throughout Montana. He also loved reading western novels and enjoying time with friends and family. A man of few words, Walter was a sincere, practical and compassionate man whose love for those around him spoke volumes. Walter is survived by his son, Kalvin Sharette; stepson, Chris Smith and stepdaughter, Nicole Smith; sisters, Janet Kracher and Maxine Karlyn; brothers, Gene Belgarde, Roy Belgarde, George Belgarde, and Francis Belgarde and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Sisters Vicki Skidmore and Violet Sharette and brothers, Tom Sharette and Jerry Belgarde. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
