Warren Martin Henshaw was born on July 2, 1929, in Uniontown, PA. He was the only child of Harry and Mary Henshaw. He graduated from Washington and Jefferson College and then served in the U.S. Army. On June 3, 1955, he married the love of his life, Mary Virginia (Gini) Nichols. His work as an accountant for the Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation resulted in numerous family moves, the last of which was to Tulsa in 1965. Warren worked for several other companies in Tulsa before landing a job at The University of Tulsa in 1977. He performed various accounting and business functions for TU, including managing investments for TU's endowment fund, up until his retirement in 2000. Warren was an active member of Southminster Presbyterian Church, where he taught an adult Sunday school class for over 40 years. He also served the church as an elder. He was an avid tennis player and active member of the Tulsa Tennis Club. He loved to read, and for many years led a discussion group for the Great Books Foundation. Warren went to be with the Lord on July 18, 2012. He is survived by Gini, his wife of 57 years, by his sons John, Jim and Bob by six grandchildren, and by six great-grandchildren.
