Wes passed away on June 23, 2012 at the age of 75. He was born on January 1, 1937 in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Ace and Mauverine Brookover. He graduated from Ponca City High School, Class of 1955. He served his military duty overseas with the 2nd Infantry Division, 23rd Regiment. He graduated from Northern Oklahoma College where he met Sue Smith, the love of his life. They were united in marriage on May 3, 1958 in Blackwell, Oklahoma. After graduating from Northern Oklahoma College he joined Commercial Credit Corporation as District Sales Manager serving the state of Missouri. In 1968 he joined National Automobile Dealers Association, Washington D.C., representing six states as Regional Manager. In 1971 he joined National Bank of Tulsa (now Bank of Oklahoma) where he retired as Vice President in commercial lending. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Dr. Curtis G. Brookover. He is survived by his wife, Sue and their two children, Sue Lynne Eidson and her husband Kevin of Broken Arrow and Dr. W. Todd Brookover and his wife Jana of Tulsa, as well as six wonderful grandchildren, Brooke Eidson Beguin (Jeremy) of El Paso, Texas, Austin Brookover, Blake Eidson, Chase Brookover, Spencer Brookover and Mallory Brookover all of Tulsa. He is also survived by two nephews, Dr. Curt Brookover of Las Alamos, NM, Clint Brookover and one niece, April Margwarth both of Tulsa. Quail hunting, bass fishing, and golfing were his lifelong joys, but his proudest moments were of his family and all of their accomplishments. Wes will be remembered by his family and friends for his strong will, his sense of humor, his loving heart and most of all for his candor and honesty. Wes had requested a private send-off; therefore, the family will respect his wishes. There will be a visitation reception on Tuesday, June 26, 6:00 - 8:00 pm at 6409 S Louisville.
