Obituary

William E. 'Bill' Clinton, age 84 passed away on May 5, 2017 in Tulsa, OK, Bill was born on January 27, 1933 in Wanette, Oklahoma, to parents Lester Dowel Clinton and Joy Lassiter Clinton. He graduated from Will Rogers High School Class of 1950 and University of Tulsa with a degree in Accounting. Bill's career included many years as an auditor with Phillips Petroleum Company in Oklahoma, Kansas and surrounding states, then numerous years in the real estate business, management and appraising. Bill later took his talents to the General Services Administration into the Real Estate Portfolio Management Division in the SE Region, Atlanta for 10 years, then onto Denver SW Region for 8 years, through 2004. Bill was a kind, gentle and caring man and always tried to do what he thought was right. He was a great family man and a loving father. He married Yogi Walker Clinton in October, 1978. Bill was a social, active man who was deeply involved in his church for the majority of his life. He loved golf, basketball, and baseball and all sorts of athletics His family and friends will always remember him as a loving person. He will be so missed. William is survived by his wife, Yugonda 'Yogi' Clinton, of Tulsa; his children Cathy Swezey and Jim, of Bartlesville, OK; William Bradley 'Bill' Clinton and Malissa of Boonville, MO; Lloyd S Walker and Amy of Houston, TX.; and, Jennifer Walker Sells and Brian of Denver, CO.; Grandchildren Nicholas Jeremiah Swezey; Jennifer Hooks; Chloe and Sarah Clinton; and, Bailey and Torrey Sells, and three great-grandchildren. Also, he is survived by the mother of Cathy and Bill Clinton, Verdabel Wells of Fairland, OK., and a number of lifelong friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Lester Dowel Clinton of Verona Beach, Fl., and mother, Joy Lassiter Clinton, of Tulsa. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for June 10, at 10:00 am at Jenks First Baptist Church, Jenks, OK. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill's life. The family would like to thank Miller Hospice for all the care and love rendered during this time of tremendous trial. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that all interested, please do just one act of kindness in Bill's honor and pass it forward. Bill would be greatly honored with these acts of kindness.
