Obituary

WILLIAM ROBERT HARN 2/29/1948 – 12/18/2020 Broken Arrow resident, William Robert (Bill) Harn, Sr., age 72, passed away on December 18, 2020 of COVID complications at St. Francis Hospital surrounded by his family. Bill was born on February 29, 1948, the only son of John Robert (Bob) Harn and Nancy Louise Perry Harn. He attended Tulsa Edison High School, served in the USAF as a staff sergeant and graduated from OU with a degree in Business Administration. Following a short courtship, he wed the love of his life, Susan Balyeat on May 26, 1972. During their 48-year marriage they raised four strong willed children. Bill owned WRH Construction and was very involved in youth football and soccer. In keeping with family tradition, he was an avid Sooner fan. His favorite NFL team was ABC (anyone but the Cowboys). Through his involvement with the Broken Arrow Soccer Club, he influenced many local youth. When he wasn't officiating, you could find him flipping burgers at the tournaments. He had a positive impact on children and adults. Bill was a man of faith and member of Southwood Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Susan, daughter Hilary Harn (Jeremy) Smithee of Broken Arrow, son William Robert (Bethel) Harn, Jr, of Broken Arrow, son John McCullough (Trinidy) Harn of Broken Arrow, daughter Kathryn Harn Parrish of Puyallup, WA, eleven grandchildren: Christain, Deanna, Adeline, Jensen, Trey and Verity Harn, Max and Sam Smithee, Harrison and Samuel Parrish and Stormy Parrish Roach, two sisters: Kathryn Harn of Port Orange, FL and Nancy (Dick) Moser of San Antonio, TX, and two great grandchildren. The memorial service is scheduled for 2 PM Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Southwood Baptist Church. Masks and social distancing will be mandatory. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Broken Arrow Soccer Club.
