Born August 7, 1920 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Herschel and Ethel Hunt. Graduated from Fort Smith High School and University of Arkansas. Served in U.S. Navy three years during World War II. Moved to Tulsa in 1947 and joined Boston Avenue United Methodist Church. Past Secretary of the Administrative Board, and member of the Chancel Choir from 1948 to 2008. Predeceased by first wife Mary and son, Brad Hunt. Survived by wife, Gloria, two sons- Tim of Hawaii, and Tim's wife, Emilie; Jeff of Mesquite, Texas and Jeff's wife, Teresa; and granddaughters Abby and Laura. Stepdaughter Diane Fitzhugh, and stepsons Marc Harrison, and wife, Terry; Matthew Harrison, and wife, Lisa. Sisters-in-law, Elaine Venable, and Veletta Richey, and brother-in-law Robert Richey. Numerous nieces and nephews. Life insurance agent with Carl M. Leonard and Son Agency since 1950 and past president of Tulsa Association of Life Insurance Agents. Former member of Tulsa Tennis Club and Tulsa Southern Tennis Club. Former volunteer for Meal on Wheels, RSVP, American Cancer Society, Youth at Heart, and past board member and volunteer of Tulsa Center for the Physically Limited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Choir of Boston Avenue Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held 11:00am, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Boston Avenue Methodist Church. Military Honors will take place Monday, October 15, 2018, 2:00pm, at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.
