William D. Vandever, age 78, passed away April 30, 2016 at his home in Skiatook, Oklahoma. He was born July 26, 1937 in Joplin, Missouri to James Lester and Naomi Etzel Vandever. Bill retired as Sr. V.P. of Operations for Special Service Systems in Tilsa, Oklahoma 2004. Bill loved spending time with family and especially his Harley across all but seven of the continental United States with friends Jerry Hager and Gary Drummond and others. He also enjoyed fishing and restoring old Chevys, with his latest being his dream car, a 1937 five window coupe. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and a brother. William is survived by his wife Mariann Vandever; sons: Daniel Vandever of Joplin, Missouri, David Vandever of Kansas City, Missouri, Mark Vandever and wife Michelle of OFallon, Illinois, Mike Vandever of Kansas City, Missouri and Wes Spencer and wife Kristen of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren: Jonathan, Kristin, Steven, Shelby, Katie and Hayden along with other loving family and friends.
