Wilma Ann Ford

Born 06/10/36, died 12/5/23 at age 87.

She was born and raised in the small town of Ashland, OK by her parents, Harvey and Beulah Johnson. She grew up around her family's country store with her older brother, Paul. She graduated from Ashland High School where she was a basketball player.

She married James Carter (Jim) Fairless and had two sons, Carter and Tracy Fairless. She was a confident, hardworking, and down-to-earth woman. Early in her career she worked at Community State Bank in Tulsa. After leaving Community State Bank, she worked various other jobs, including driving a Frito-Lay delivery route before finishing her career working at the County Clerks office in Tulsa County.

After separating from Jim Fairless she later married the jovial Monty Dale Ford, who she loved to travel with in their RV and help out with at his HVAC company. She was a sociable person and loved hanging out at the local diner and making friends. She had a sweet tooth and loved chocolate and ice cream. She loved all dogs, especially Jack Russell terriers, as well as going to family cookouts, camping at local lakes in the RV, gardening, watching Thunder basketball, and fishing.

She was a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma and enjoyed reading the tribal newspaper. She fiercely loved her friends and loved catching up with and bragging about her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harvey and Beulah Johnson, her husband Monty Dale Ford, and her brother Paul Johnson.

She is survived by her sons, Carter Ray Fairless and his wife Carolyn; Tracy Paul Fairless; and four grandchildren: Stephanie Fairless, Kevin Fairless, Lee Fairless, and Dr. Elizabeth "Libby" Fairless.
