Reflections of Woodys Life Woodley E. Works was born March 16, 1933 in Nashville, Arkansas to Floyd and Jodie Works. Woody attended and graduated from Childress High School in Nashville. After graduation, Woody entered the United States Air Force where he honorably served his country for over 30 years. Woody married Marcella Burr in 1957 and from this union were born four children. Marsha, Michael, Karen, and Richie. Later Woody would marry Eunice West and was blessed with Leron, Yvonne, and Aundre. Woody was an accomplished postal employee for over 33 years. Known for his dedication to his family and lifelong friends. He brought joy and laughter along with a caring spirit. Woody was also well known for his love of bowling, dominos, card games, and fishing and later in life, traveling. Woody leaves to cherish his memory, his children Marsha Works of Long Beach, California, Michael Works of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karen Works of Lancaster, Texas, and Ritchie Works of Lancaster, Texas. His brother Reo Works of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Sisters Geraldine of Rowlett, Texas, Mary Bourne of Monrovia, California, and Claudine Works-Wright of San Pueblo, California. Brother-In-Law Glen Franklin, sister-in-law Edna Works, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other loving relatives and friends. Woody is preceded in death by his loving wife Eunice, his parents, brothers William Floyd Xenophone, and Lavell Works. A Memorial service will be held Thursday, March 20, 2014 at Gilcrease Hills Baptist Church at 5:00 p.m., with interment Friday, March 21, 2014 at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery at 11:00 a.m.
