M. Yvonne "Chicken" Gann Jones, age 84 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018 in Tulsa. She was born at home on September 1, 1934 near Dustin, Oklahoma. She graduated from Graham, Oklahoma High School, completed her BS in Education from Oklahoma State and her Masters degree from Northeastern State. She retired from Tulsa Public Schools after teaching and counseling for 28 years. Yvonne loved quilting, reading, painting, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed OSU and Thunder basketball and played in senior basketball leagues. She was preceded in death by her parents Ode and Pearl Gann, brothers Pete and Harold Gann, sister Mutt Crawley, and grandson Jeremy Jones. She is survived by her husband of 61 years Garry Jones, their children Kevin Jones, Jen Ann Westfall, and Keith Jones, and her beloved 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. The family will hold a private memorial service.
