Dayton H. Wilson, 82, a long-time resident of Broken Arrow and more recently of Inverness Village
Retirement Home died on October 14th, 2015.
Dayton spent over 40 years in the aerospace industry as an electrical engineer
and served in a vast variety of electronic endeavors prior to his retirement
from Lockheed Martin in 1996 as a Patriot Missile Program Manager. He
was born in Plainfield, NJ, served in the US Navy, attended Rutgers University
and moved quite frequently throughout the United States as his distinguished
He married Connie Blanks, from Kentucky, in 1957 and they were blessed
with two beautiful daughters, Sherri Bergeron (Eddie) currently from Catoosa
and Vicki Hoskison (Keith) now living in Half Moon Bay, California. Their
grandchildren include Audrey Atkinson (Matt), Timothy Harmon (Lauren),
Joseph Harmon (Brittanie), Clarissa Hoskison, Brandon Hoskison, Christopher
Bergeron (Kalyn), Nick Bergeron (Kaylen), and Brittany Bergeron. The extended
family includes great grandchildren Jeremy, KayKay & Colton Bergeron;
Jayden Bergeron; Jorgia, Joey & Jessa Harmon; and Amelia Defore.
Dayton was preceded in death by his parents, Paul & Adele Wilson; his
sister, Janet A. Wilson, MD, of Wisconsin Rapids, WI; and his brother,
Roger A Wilson (Frances) from Port Charlotte, FL.
He is survived by his wife, Connie. The pride of his heart was his Grand-dog,
Lord Baron, a black standard poodle, who loved his PaPa very much. Dayton
was an avid Bible scholar and attended The Assembly at Broken Arrow where
he taught in the Adult Sunday School Department and assisted in the Senior
Ministries until health issues forced him to retire from those efforts.
A Memorial service will be held at Inverness Village at 2 o’clock
on October 20th, 2015.
