Audrey P. Robison, 94, of Tulsa, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015
at her home with family by her side.
Audrey was born March 6, 1921 in Vernon, TX to Rosie Rae Poston and Wesley
W. Poston. Soon after her birth the family moved to Breckenridge, Texas
where she attended school and was a cheerleader.
One of the highlights of her life was working at Hughes-Olds, an architectural
firm in Abilene, TX. Mr. Hughes was personally trained by Frank Lloyd
Wright. She was married to Charles L. Robison of Dover, Oklahoma for 60 years.
Audrey served as the
board president of YMCA in Enid and Tulsa. She was a long-time member of the
Tulsa Philharmonic, the
Weed Garden Club, Pioneer
chapter of Questers and the
international antiques and
study club. She served as the first Oklahoma State President of Questers and attended
27 International Conventions. She has been a member of Yale Avenue Christian
Church, and for many years of John Knox Presbyterian Church.
Audrey was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; a sister, Betty
Posten; and brother, Ray Posten. She is survived by her children: sons,
Charles L. Robison, Jr. (Jean), of Frisco, TX; John Wesley Robison, of
Tulsa; and daughter, Judith R. Ritter (Bob), of Aiken, SC. She also leaves
three grandchildren: Noël Ritter and Trevor Ritter, of Atlanta, GA;
and Paisley J. Robison, of Frisco, TX.
Service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Chapel of
John Knox Presbyterian Church, 2929 E. 31st St, Tulsa, OK 74105. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made to John Knox Presbyterian Church.
